Mopped Up

We've had some fun with our latest release! Scroll down and check out if you're a winner of one of the fabulous sets! Here is my card using the adorable Mopped Up set. This is the color version of the image. Talk about fabulous colors!! I really wanted to highlight them and pulled similar colors from my forever growing stack of scraps of pattern paper. And I used my favorite sentiment from the set because it simply makes me giggle! Hope you have a wonderful rest of today. Be sure and check out all the wonderful newly released sets.

Who's the 'Cherry on Top' for September?

Hi everyone! It's time to announce our "Cherry on Top" awardee from those who played in our DOTM challenge during the month of September!  The winner receives this cute blog badge and a digi set of his or her choice!

Each month, our DT takes a turn to pick who our 'Cherry on Top' awardee will be.  As we are going in alphabetical order, it is Deanne's turn.  Here is what she had to say about her Top Pick...

Absolutely LOVE the way she did the background!! The Autumn colors are so wonderful!

Congratulations DONNA RINCKEL

Please feel free to display the blog award at the top of our post and then find your gift code from Lisa D., our Cherry on Top Coordinator, in your inbox soon!

Mopped Up & Sweep This ***Winners***

Good day to you all! As we begin a new week it is time to share the name of the winners of the last of the Leesa's Cleaning Day new release giveaways.  Though before I do so, I want to show you some cards to hopefully inspire you.

First up is this awesome card that Lisa Lynn created as inspiration using images from the Sweep This set.

Lisa Lynn's card is nice and colourful and filled with lots of sweet embellies!  I love the sentiment from this set.  It provides the perfect way for sharing some love with that special someone in your life with just the perfect touch of humour.

I too had some time to get something made. My digital card features items from the Mopped Up set (displayed in a poster mock up).  One of the great things about digital creations is that you can make a card and if you have no immediate need for it, you can simply keep it saved on your system.  Then, all I have to do is print it out when I need a congrats card.

Along with items from the Mopped Up set, I also used one of Kris' digital papers.  The plaid paper can be found in the Ice Cream Parlour digi papers set.

Barb has done such a sweet job with this card.  I love her colour choices and that backdrop in behind the image is very cool as well!  I also really like the way she added the dust and the way she coloured the bandanna--very creative!

Dust if You Must & Housework Sucks ***Winners***

Hello everyone!  Lisa D. here back with you all today to reveal the winners of the Dust if You Must and Housework Sucks sets.  First up though, two of our fabulous DT members are here to share cards they created using elements from these sets.

First up, is this cute creation from Lisa Lynn using the Dust if You Must set...

I actually do have arachnophobia so thank goodness these spiders aren't creepy!  I really like the cool background that Lisa Lynn used and that neat mesh that could definitely pass for webbing!

Next up is a sweet card from Deanne using the Housework Sucks set...

When someone is going through difficulty it is nice to reach out and provide a little encouragement.  That is exactly what Deanne has done with this sweet creation.  I love the colour palette that she went with and of course that paper piecing on the vacuum.

Time to Pick a Winner!!!

From September 23rd to September 25th, readers had the opportunity to leave a comment for their chance to win either the set, Dust if You Must, or Housework Sucks as shown above.  To be eligible, participants simply needed to leave a comment with the answer to the question:  What household chore do you hate the most?

The reply was great.  Apparently I am not alone in my hatred of housework!  While some people hated dusting like me, other hated chores included:  laundry in its many aspects, ironing, windows, dishes, floors, cleaning the stove, and of course the dreaded toilet!  There is one lady who's temperature we need to check as she doesn't mind housework.  What she hates more is yard work--although no one can blame her for hating to pull weeds!

Our winner of the Housework Sucks set is (chosen randomly with Mini Webtool)...
Trina Flynn

Check out all that fabulous texture on this wonderful card!  I also really like all the great bits and pieces to this creation.  A fun way to send congratulations to someone!

Next up is a fun card from Lynne using the Sweep This set...

Card by Lynne

What a fun and cheeky card from Lynne.  You can almost feel the texture on that background and I love how she matched the colours of the buttons to the colours in the broom and dustpan.

Whether you want to stick with the theme of housework, send congratulations, or share some love with that special someone in your life, these sets present a multitude of opportunities to create for.

Leesa's Dust Bunnies ***Giveaway***

Hello everyone!  It's Lisa D. here and I am back with our next giveaway.  Yesterday, our first set of giveaways was launched with your opportunity to win the first two mini sets from the Leesa's Cleaning Day collection.  Those two particular sets are called, Dust if You Must and Housework Sucks.  You still have some time to submit your answer for your chance to win one of sets, so if you missed it, please click HERE.

Today the spotlight is on Leesa's Dust Bunnies but first up it is time for a little inspiration from Helen...

Helen has created a really sweet shaped card using one of my favourite colour combos--red, white and black.  I love the symmetry as always and of course the stitching around both circles as well.

Such an adorable set that could be used for a variety of situations!

Okay so I have to admit that I do love them all.  Each is unique and has so many different possibilities.  However, if I had to choose a favourite, I would probably have to say today's spotlight, Leesa's Dust Bunnies.  Not only do I find the dust bunnies absolutely adorable, so is Leesa with that sweet face and those pigtails!

Dust if You Must & Housework Sucks ***Giveaway***

Hello to all of you out there in blogland.  We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and see us.

Today kicks off number one and number two of our current round of New Release Giveaways where you have a chance of winning one of the new sets that are part of Leesa's Cleaning Day!

Today, Dust if You Must and Housework Sucks are in the spotlight and of course, I have some wonderful cards to share with you all as inspiration.

First up is this cute and creepy creation from Monique using the Dust if You Must set...

Check out all that cool webbing that Monique has added to her card.  Mind you if I had that much webbing and all those spiders hanging about, I'd definitely have to give in and get some dusting done!

Next up is a lovely creation from Linda A. using the Housework Sucks set...

The great thing with these sets is that they don't JUST have to be about housework!  With a little creativity you can congratulate someone, just as Linda has done with her wonderful card.  I really like the monochromatic look that Linda has chosen for this particular card as well as the nice frame behind the image.

Do YOU know anyone who'd rather be in their craftroom than dealing with the chores of dusting and vacuuming?  Or someone who has had a success that should be celebrated?  A card made with items from either of these sets would be a great way to put a smile on someone's face.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Giveaway Time!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you like to win either the set, Dust if You Must, or Housework Sucks as shown below?  To be eligible, simply leave a comment with the answer to this question...

What household chore do you hate the most?

Hmm...Personally, are there any that I do like?  I guess if I had to pick the worst one it would be dusting.  First up, we have trinkets galore so I have to move what feels like a thousand things every time I clean.  Additionally, there is so much dust in the area that I live in (mining country) that no matter how often I dust, it never looks like clean.  Very frustrating!

You have until 6:00 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, Sept. 25th, to get your answers submitted.  One person will win the Dust if You Must set, and one person will win the Housework Sucks set.

We will announce the winners of these sets on Saturday, Sept. 26th!

You can check out more of Monique's work here on the Imagine That blog (as she doesn't currently have her own blog) and you can see more of Linda's work by clicking on the link below her card.

Until next time,

Get SWEPT Away with the Latest New Releases!

Hello and happy Tuesday all!  It's Lisa D. here, popping in to share some fabulous new mini sets that Kris has come up with!  The fall is here and it is time to get some cleaning done!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MORE NEW  RELEASES  FOR  SEPTEMBER!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that the title says it all.  That is certainly the way I feel about housework, as I am sure that many of you do as well!  Of course, if all dust bunnies were that cute, we wouldn't have to worry about vacuuming would we?!

I love the sentiment in the set, "Dust if you must:  but I'll be in my craftroom!"  I hate to admit it out loud but the frequency of housework in my home has definitely diminished since I became an active card maker and blogger.  It is nice to know that I'm not alone.

Seriously, how cute are those dust bunnies?  Instead of cleaning, I'd be trying to find homes for them.

This set boasts another fab sentiment, "housework won't kill you but why take the chance".  Truer words were never spoken!

I always love a good pun and this set is filled with them!

Now if you like all these separate new sets you'll be pleased to find out that Kris has combined ALL the images and sentiments that you see above into one great big set as well.  It is a way to get your hands on all the sets and save money in the process.  Buying all of the sets individually would cost you $9.45; however, by purchasing Leesa's Cleaning Day you can get it all for the low price of $6.00--that's a savings of $3.45--enough money to buy another set in the store!!!

***CHECK BACK FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN***
How would YOU like the chance to win one of the sets listed above (excludes Leesa's Cleaning Day)? Well, keep an eye out for the word 'Giveaway' in an upcoming post title over the course of the next several days, follow the instructions, and you might just walk away with one of these fabulous new sets!

See you all again real soon!
